Component Map
Below is a map of the components for our HDTV Tuner. We were able to find the original manufacture location for most of the parts we researched. It seems as though the parts are primarily from South and South-East Asia.
Some of our components had the countries that they were manufactured in, displayed along with their serial numbers and their part numbers. We were not able to find the exact factory that some of the components were made in due to the fact that there have been several mergers for the different companies that created these components. Some of the original factories from the early 2000s, we believe were closed down or moved which made it difficult to track them down.
One of the components we had, we were not able to track down its origin. We had conflicting information stating that it could have been from Texas, but it also could have been made in China or Korea. For these reasons, we did not include this component on the map.
